To play Metal Slug, download the NeoRageX zip, unzip it to a new directory. Then unzip the Bios files into the same directory. Then download the two Metal Slug zips. Unzip these into a spare folder, then zip them all into ONE ZIP FILE, I recommend you call it "mslugfixed.zip". Place this new zip file in the folder called "roms" that will have appeared if you used stored folders when unzipping NeoRageX.zip. Then go into the NeoRageX exe file, and go into the video settings. Then select 16 bit or whatever you wish, and the select "yes" or "50%" for the "scanlines" flag. If you do not do this, the game will look pretty shoddy. If you really hate scanlines, make sure you are at the 16 bit settings then make all the other flags "yes" apart from "scanlines" and "enhance edges". These should be set to "no". This will make the game look pretty decent without scanlines, but it could slow down slower computers, and it looks a bit unfocused.
After this, go into sound. Make sure all the settings are pumped up to maximum, as the sound quality of this rom is excellent. However, I would not recommend setting "interpoliated sound" to "yes", as I don't know what this does, and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
When you have done all this, click on the blue button labeled "import". After this, scroll down the side bar until you get to "Metal Slug" in the side box. This should be white, while all the other games are in grey. Double click on Metal Slug and you're away. Follow the same procedure to play other NeoGeo roms.

The reason I have included Metal Slug as two seperate zips is to allow more controled downloading, and I don't think I'm meant to have any files in excess of 10 megabytes on this server anyway.
To play Metal Slug First Mission, unzip NGPocket to a new directory, then unzip First Mission to the same directory. Then run NGPocket, and go to File -> Load. Select Metal Slug First Mission. Unfortunately, sound has been disabled for this emulator. I'm looking for one that does allow sound, or a crack that will enable sound for this one. Follow the same procedure to play other NGPocket roms.

A brief note on the law. Technically, you are meant to delete roms after 24 hours and then go buy the game. You are also supposed to get bios files directly from a NeoGeo console. I have no idea how to do this, and I had to download mine. I have put them up on this page until I work out how to get them off the console, then I will post the procedure here. If you own a NeoGeo console and the games here, you can keep the roms for as long as you want. It's up to you what you do with the roms if you don't own the real thing, but the ones in your possession are no responsibility of mine.
